Even though it is over 6 weeks since any rain,
this walk will took us through some really green
vegetation, fed by ancient aqueducts, although
updated over the years, they date back to Roman
times.

about halfway
now & Canillas can be seen in the distance

Nearly there
& the Ermita de Santa Ana can be seen clearly at
the top of the village

The Ermita seen
from 2 angles, dating back to the 16th century, the
Moorish Dome can be clearly seen

Inside
the Ermita

One of the
beautiful views from the top of the village, this
one with a ruin in the foreground.

A closer view
of the ruin, one can only imagine what caused this
beautiful house to turn into such.

The public
laundry

A couple of the
lovely gardens

The main

Leaving
the environs of Canillas de Albaida

3pm,
full sun and we are out walking, the look says
everything!
The walk is really worth doing, you see so much
more than in a car. We chose the middle of summer,
but it was not uncomfortable. (don´t forget your
hat and a bottle of water!) & we only met
one person on the way. In springtime it would be
excellent because then all the wild flowers are in
bloom
